Collection: Recipe - Vegetarian / Vegan Koftas

Makes 2-3 servings


  • 1 pack of Ȧrta Bȯna Plant Based Ground
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 small bunch of coriander, parsley and mint roughly chopped
  • 5g (1 tsp.) ground cumin
  • 5g (1 tsp.) ground cilantro
  • 3g (½ tsp.) paprika 
  • 6 skewers
  • 6 pita breads
  • 2 tomatoes cut into quarters
  • 200 ml of plain vegetable yogurt
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place the Ȧrta Bȯna Plant Based Ground in a bowl.
  2. Add the chopped onion and half of the fresh herbs.
  3. Add the spices (cumin, coriander powder, salt, pepper and paprika)
  4. Well mix everything.
  5. With lightly wet hands, form 6 equal balls. Take a ball of Plant Based Ground, roll it between your hands to form a long sausage. Pass the koftas through the skewer. Repeat.
  6. Grill the koftas 3 minutes on each side in a skillet over medium-high heat or on the BBQ.
  7. Serve it all on a pita bread with the tomatoes. Sprinkle with yogurt and garnish with fresh herbs.
